Under the Presbyterian model of church organisation, Crown Court’s spiritual and temporal affairs are governed by its elders – ‘lay’ people ordained to serve. The body of ordained elders within the congregation is known as the Kirk Session, which meets regularly with the Minister presiding over meetings as Moderator.
The day-to-day work of Crown Court is carried out by several committees, made up of elders and congregation members. The committees and conveners are:
- Worship and Education: Rev Scott Rennie
- Stewardship and Finance: Val Lowe
- Fabric: Ross Duguid
- Outreach and Heritage: Mary-Jannet Leith
- Hospitality: Sheena-Jane Clark
- Pastoral Care: Elizabeth Somerville
- Future Committee: James Chestnut
If you are interested in joining a committee, please e-mail the committee convener, and they will be very happy to tell you more.
